Franz Ferdinand have announced their first official gig for 2012.
The 'Take Me Out' band will play at the Primavera Sound event in Barcelona, which takes place from May 30 to June 3, 2012 at the Parc Del Forum in Barcelona. They have not played a full billed gig in the UK for nearly two years.
The xx and Bjork have also been confirmed for the Spanish festival lineup, alongside the likes of Wilco, The Drums, Guided By Voices, Neon Indian and Death In Vegas.

Franz Ferdinand released the Covers EP in May, but their last full studio album was 2009's Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.
The xx confirmed that they have recently started work on the follow-up to their debut Mercury Prize-winning self-titled album.
