Jason Aldean has dominated the 2011 American Country Awards.
This is the second year that the country awards show has been held. Hosted by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth, the ceremony aired live on Fox from the MGM Grand at Las Vegas.

Aldean and Zac Brown Band led the nominees with eight nominations apiece. The 'Don't You Wanna Stay' singer took home six awards, making him the night's biggest winner.
"This is getting a little ridiculous now," Aldean said on taking the stage for the second time. "I don't know what else to say. It's been a crazy year."

Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood earned three accolades a year after taking home six prizes at the show's inaugural ceremony.
"Once again, thank you fans. We thank God for you every single day of our lives," the American Idol winner told the crowd.
Another American Idol champion also received an award during the ceremony as Scotty McCreery took home his first accolade ever, earning 'Artist of the Year: New Artist'. He also performed his song 'The Trouble With Girls'.

The Voice judge Blake Shelton took home two awards, winning 'Music Video of the Year' and 'Music Video: Male' for his track 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking'.
Finally, Toby Keith was named 'Artist of the Decade'. He received a video tribute from Stephen Colbert, who declared the singer to be the "Pope of Nashville".
Keith then performed his single 'Red Solo Cup' for the very first time on broadcast television.
