The reality TV personality was an original member of the girl group alongside Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon. Katona left prior to them achieving their first number one single with 'Whole Again'.
"I had the best time at the OK! Christmas party. It was brilliant bumping into the Atomic Kitten girls after 11 years," she wrote in her OK magazine column. "The pair of them looked phenomenal. We all had such a good catch-up.
"I've seen Liz McClarnon a few times but I've not seen Natasha Hamilton for years – I texted them both the next day and we're all going to meet up for some dinner, because we never fell out, we just went in different directions."
Teasing the possibility of a reunion, Katona added: "You never know, if Steps can reunite then maybe Atomic Kitten can too!"
Earlier this year, Katona ruled out reuniting the pop group, but confirmed that she had been working on solo material.
Atomic Kitten polled fifth in Digital Spy's exclusive poll of which groups readers would like to see back together.
