The singer will release 'Elephant', which is produced by Colombian DJ Erick Morillo, on February 26 next year.
Burke announced the news via her official Twitter page with the message: "Elephant... 26.02.12."
The track, which serves as the lead single from her second studio album, has been subject to a number of delays after it was originally slated for release last month.
Burke said: "We've decided to take a tiny bit more time as some exciting things have come up that we are looking at and [record label] RCA want to make sure everything is perfect."
The star recently revealed that her forthcoming LP will be "sexier" than her debut, adding: "It's fun, loud, up-tempo, in-your-face. It has a lot of colours."
