The star sang his own rendition of the song during his visit to BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge yesterday morning (December 8).
He described 'Fairytale of New York' as "an Irish Christmas classic" before performing a stripped-back acoustic version for Chris Moyles and his team.
Sabre is expected to release his debut album Lonely Are the Brave on January 30, which will include his two hits 'Let Me Go' and 'I Need'.
The 21-year-old previously suggested to Digital Spy that today's youth are "being bombarded with too much rubbish" music.
Sabre has been shortlisted for the 2012 Brits Critics' Choice Award alongside Emeli Sande and Michael Kiwanuka.
