Taylor Swift changed country music forever, says Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean has credited Taylor Swift with introducing country music to a whole new generation of fans.
In an interview with USA Today, Aldean praised Swift as a trailblazer for creating country music that teenage girls can relate to.
"Taylor has gone out and brought a whole new fanbase to our world," Aldean commented. "All these teenage girls that might not have listened to country before, she has brought them all into our genre. Nobody else is really doing that."
Aldean also said that he's very "proud" of his former support group Lady Antebellum, whose third studio album Own the Night topped the US pop chart this fall.
"To see Lady Antebellum go from our opening act to just exploding like they have has been fun to watch," the singer explained. "I'm really excited for them and proud of them."
Aldean recently picked up six trophies at the 2011 American Country Awards, including wins in the 'Artist of the Year' and 'Album of the Year' categories.
