The 'Price Tag' star won the accolade herself this year and said that she is "proud" of Sande's win, which will be presented to the singer at next year's ceremony on February 21.

Jessie J tweeted: "So PROUD and HAPPY for Emeli Sande for winning this year's British Critics' Choice Award. Congratulations girl. Here's to 2012 being your year."
Upon hearing the news that she had been selected for the prestigious award, Sande said: "To win a Brit Award so early in my career is beyond a dream come true.
"I am overwhelmed to be the recipient of such a prestigious award. Thank you so much."
Sande's debut album Our Version Of Events will include her hits 'Heaven' and 'Daddy' and is to be released on February 13, 2012.
