Will Young has confessed that he "absolutely hate[s]" his Pop Idol winner's single, the double A-side of 'Evergreen' and 'Anything Is Possible'.
The 'Jealousy' singer released the tracks immediately after being crowned champion of the 2002 reality show, but has completely disowned them in subsequent years as he finds them "really awful" to listen to.
"I've never done 'Anything is Possible' live," he told New. "I hate it. I absolutely hate it. I can't bear 'Evergreen' or 'Anything is Possible', they're absolutely shocking.
"And you wouldn't believe the amount of money that was spent on those videos. F**king hell! Dreadful videos. At one moment it looks like I'm in love with a tree! Dreadful. Really odd. Dreadful. No, no, no. No."
Young went on to clarify that he is still proud of the rest of his discography, saying: "The track record has been pretty good actually - apart from one - but the first one was really awful."
The 32-year-old previously described Pop Idol as his "best ever experience" and expressed gratitude for the "massive opportunity" it gave him.
