Marianne Faithfull at 65: Six classic songs - video

She may have first come to the world's attention on the coattails of Messrs Jaggers and Richards, but in the five decades since 'As Tears Goes By', Marianne Faithfull has proved herself a fabulous singer, songwriter and superstar all on her own terms.
To celebrate her 65th birthday today, we've grabbed six of our favourite Faithfull tracks, which was no easy task.
We couldn't squeeze in the naughty 'Why D'Ya Do It', the genre-defying 'Broken English' or the sexy Blur hook-up 'Kissin' Time', but we hope you enjoy our selection as we raise a glass of bubbly (and definitely not a Mars bar) to Ms Marianne Faithfull on her big day.
'As Tears Go By'
'Sister Morphine'
'The Ballad of Lucy Jordan'
'Sex With Strangers'
'Crazy Love'
'Goin' Back'
> Marianne Faithfull agrees to biopic
> Marianne Faithfull 'has repaired Kate Moss friendship'
