Frankmusik drops stage name, announces new project

Frankmusik has changed his stage name to Vincent Did It.

The singer, whose real name is Vincent Frank, unveiled the new moniker alongside his latest track 'Dynamo' online earlier this week.

Frank told Flopofthepops that he had "a good time" as Frankmusik, adding: "I just wanted a fresh start in the New Year. Nothing more."

Discussing the chart performance of his last album Do It In The AM, which failed to reach the top 75 and saw him dropped from his label, he insisted: "I never envision any of my work. It's a free process.

"As soon as I predict or try and figure out what it is I am going to do/become it always ends up being contrived. I like my second album. I am going to like my third even more."

Frank recently told Digital Spy that he was considering recording his new LP in Japan and Nashville, adding: "I really want to strip back the electronics and make it a little more spacious and less heavily-produced."
