Guitarist Al Doyle announced the news on Twitter, saying the band plan to tour with their new material.
"Hot chip album update: we have one more song to record then we have enough songs and we're gonna stop. Cannot wait to play them to y'all (sic)," Doyle said.
Speaking of the band's plan for live dates, he added: "Ireland north and south are right up there on our "definitely want to play" list, along with iceland, brazil and glasgow!"
Hot Chip released their last album One Life Stand in 2010, reaching number 11 on the UK album chart.
Doyle has previously admitted to being surprised by fan reaction to One Life Stand.
"It's been interesting to see the response to the record. There was a bunch of people who liked it straight away and a lot of people who really hated it," he said.
