The singer admitted that she is overwhelmed by the amount of attention she receives from fans all over the world after her debut single 'Video Games' became a YouTube hit.
Del Rey told V magazine: "I turn up in Glasgow or Manchester or Amsterdam and there are good people waving at me from the crowd. That's amazing.
"There are people outside the venue at sound check that want to chat and take a photo. Someone showed me their ticket stub and asked me to sign it."
She added: "You know how much it costs to come and see a show? These people really wanted to see me."
Del Rey was recently named as one of David Cameron's current favourite artists along with Band of Horses.
The star's debut album Born To Die will feature 12 new tracks and is released in the UK on January 30.
