Ed Sheeran has revealed that he is keen to win the 'Best Album' prize at this year's Brit Awards.

The singer, who is nominated in four categories, also said he was a big fan of the other artists in the category, which include Adele, Coldplay, Florence + the Machine and PJ Harvey.

Asked which of the four gongs he would like to win most, Sheeran told Digital Spy: "'Album', I'd say. I just think that's a good category to be in with the artists that are in it. I love Adele, I love Coldplay, Florence + the Machine. It's great."

On his favourite album of the last 12 months, he revealed: "Probably Ben Howard's Every Kingdom. I really like that album."

Sheeran is also up for 'Best Single', 'Best Male' and 'Best Breakthrough' at the ceremony, which takes place in London's O2 Arena on February 21. The show will be broadcast live on ITV1.
