A poem attributed to the rapper had suggested that he would stop rapping the word following the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy with wife Beyoncé.
The poem read: "Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/ I didn't think hard about using the word bitch/ I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/ Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it."
However, a source reportedly close to Jay-Z told E! News that the rapper had not written the poem in question.
Furthermore, The Roots star Questlove wrote on Twitter: "This just in:@S_C_ [Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter] to me: "B*aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatch!!!!!!!! and tweet that."
It was claimed last week that Blue Ivy was given her own security detail after being taken home from hospital by her parents.
