Azealia Banks signs deal with Universal Records

The 'Liquorice' rapper announced the deal via her Twitter page on Wednesday.
"God just dealt me a new hand today I reaaaaaaaaaaallllly good hand. I am now officially signed to Universal Music," she wrote.
"Wow I just wanna drink a million bottles of champagne and do a million bell kicks right now. Album in May? June possibly?"
Earlier this month, Banks placed third on the BBC Sound of 2012 poll, coming in behind Frank Ocean and Michael Kiwanuka.
Banks, who has often been compared to Nicki Minaj, recently said that she does not like the comparison but understands why it is made.
