Kelly Clarkson has paid tribute to Etta James during a live performance in New York.
Etta James passed away at the age of 73 on Friday from complications related to leukemia.
Clarkson performed a cover of James's classic 'I'd Rather Go Blind' at Radio City Music Hall last night (January 21).
She told the crowd: "This isn't 'At Last' because everyone really covers that and so I wanted to do my favourite, actually. My favourite song is 'I'd Rather Go Blind'. So, this is for Etta."
Kelly Clarkson performed a version of 'At Last' for one of her very first American Idol auditions, before going on to win the series in 2002.
The 'What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)' singer will be one of several guest mentors for the upcoming second season of The Voice when it returns in February.
She will also perform 'The Star Spangled Banner' at this year's Super Bowl on February 5.
