Lostprophets announce UK and Ireland tour

Lostprophets have announced plans to embark on a tour of the UK and Ireland this spring.

The band will play 14 dates in support of their upcoming fifth studio album Weapons, which is due to be released on April 2.

Lostprophets will start the string of shows at Dublin's Olympia on April 15 and finish up at London's O2 Academy in Brixton on May 4.

The group recently unveiled their new track 'Better Off Dead' and released the cut as a free download through their official website.

To date, the Lostprophets have had two Top 10 singles in 2004's 'Last Train Home' and 2006's 'Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)', as well as selling over 2 million albums worldwide.

Tickets for the Lostprophets' 2012 UK and Ireland tour will go on sale from 9am on January 27.

  • April 28 - Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena

  • April 30 - Nottingham, Rock City

  • May 1 - Cambridge, Corn Exchange

  • May 2 - Southampton, Guildhall

  • May 4 - London, O2 Academy Brixton
