The 'You Belong With Me' singer recently met up with Robert Kennedy's filmmaker daughter Rory Kennedy at the premiere of her HBO project about her mother Ethel.
Rory Kennedy explained that she was a "huge fan" of Swift's work, and that she was surprised to hear the singer owned many books about her family.
"She really just loves my mother which is so sweet," she told ABC News. "I'm a huge fan of hers, I have young girls and we had been to a few of her concerts.
"I met with her at one of them and she had read a ton of books about our family. She was inspired and wrote a song."
Swift is currently working on her fourth studio album, which she recently revealed would contain songs about "earth-shattering heartbreak".
She was recently rumoured to have shared a "flirty" date with 17 Again star Zac Efron.
