Nicola Roberts has said that she wanted to do something different with her solo music career.
The Girls Aloud star released her debut solo album Cinderella's Eyes in September and started work on a follow-up soon after.

Asked if it was important that her music was different to Girls Aloud, she told Stylist: "It wasn't just different from what I used to do with the girls, it was different to what anybody else was doing as well.
"I was really proud of that. So, yes, it was important to me to be different. I really wanted to do my own thing."
On how different she is as a person to when she started out in Girls Aloud, Roberts added: "I don't know where the last ten years have gone. It's all been so fast.
"I think I'm more collected as a person. I have good morals - to a degree! - and I feel like I know myself very well. I know why I say things, why I do things. I know myself inside out."
Roberts has claimed that her solo career is "a bit more of a challenge" than her time with Girls Aloud.
