Ed Sheeran has declared that he is excited for his upcoming tour after experiencing high ticket sales.
The singer-songwriter revealed that he sold over 78,000 tickets for his UK autumn tour within the first 24 hours of them going on sale yesterday morning (January 25).

Confirming the sales news on Twitter, Sheeran said: "Yesterday, we sold 78,000 tickets for my autumn tour! I love that statistic! Bring on the tour!!!"
The star had to add extra dates to the jaunt after certain venues sold out immediately. He also assured fans that more dates will be added if they are needed.
The tour will start at London's Hammersmith Apollo on October 15 and finish at Glasgow's Barrowland's on November 14.
Sheeran will release his new EP The Slumdon Bridge next month.
