Paul McCartney has revealed that he is currently writing new music for an upcoming video game.
The singer-songwriter explained that he was easily convinced by the opportunity to work on the project, as computer games sell more quickly than albums.

He told German newspaper Die Zeit: "It's a fascinating market. A new computer game sells so much better than a new CD these days. Young people will hear my music for the first time in a game."
It will be the first time McCartney has recorded material specifically for a video game. However, the star's music has previously been used within the format.
McCartney and former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr came together in 2010 to promote The Beatles: Rock Band, which was available across a number of consoles.
Meanwhile, McCartney is currently preparing to release his new studio album Kisses On The Bottom on February 6.
