Macy Gray to cover Kanye West, Radiohead on new album

By
Macy Gray
Macy Gray has announced plans to release an album of cover songs this spring.

The singer confirmed that she will unveil her sixth studio LP Covered on March 27 and will release the new set through 429 Records.

The collection of covers will include Radiohead's 'Creep', Kanye West's 'Love Lockdown' and My Chemical Romance's 'Teenagers'.

Gray was inspired by Nina Simone's covers album for the project and has also revealed plans to tour the material worldwide, reports Billboard.

Covered will be the follow-up to 2010's The Sellout, which charted at number 38 in the US with total sales of 37,000 copies.

Gray previously said that she wanted to release two records in 2011, but eventually failed to release any new material throughout the year.
