The Gifted Man actor recently told Parade that jamming with his siblings on classic hard rock tracks forever shaped his musical taste.
"There was always a lot of music going on in our house. We were three boys in the '80s, and we gravitated toward rock," Wilson explained. "I think your teenage years define your musical roots forever. You're always looking for a theme for your high school years."
Wilson singled out Night Ranger's 'Goodbye' as his favourite 1980s tune and added that his young sons Kalin and Kassian have also taken a liking to classic rock.
"They will say what they don't like more than what they like, and usually that's determined by the girls, who love Justin Bieber," he joked. "They will say, 'Oooo, Daddy, I don't like Justin Bieber' - or 'Beaver', as they say. But we'll listen to songs, and I'll point out voices to them. My 5-year-old knows Elvis's voice."
A Gifted Man airs Fridays at 8/7c on CBS.
