On Thursday (February 2), the American Idol winner posted a video on her YouTube account, in which she discussed the first single from her fourth record.
"Hello everybody," Underwood says. "I just wanted to give you guys some good news. My very first single off my fourth album is coming out soon.
"It's called 'Good Girl'. I'm so excited. I love this song. I think it's awesome, I think it's going to blow you guys away and I'm very excited about it, so I cannot wait for you to hear it."
Meanwhile, a post on Underwood's website revealed that the album itself is set to be released on May 1.
Underwood will be teaming up with Steven Tyler for a special Super Bowl weekend edition of CMT's Crossroads.
In December, the 28-year-old singer was named 'Artist of the Year: Female' at the 2011 American Country Awards.
