Geri Halliwell: 'New album will be released very soon'

Geri Halliwell has revealed that she is nearly ready to release her new album.
The singer, who has been working on her currently-untitled fourth studio LP over the past year, said that a formal announcement about the project is coming soon.
Speaking at the launch of her Union Jack collection for Next, Halliwell explained: "I am very excited. I am in the studio and an announcement is imminent."
She added: "I've been mastering my album and I'm really excited that the pop career is about to come back."
The star also teased details about the forthcoming Spice Girls musical, saying it could be in theatres by the end of 2012.
Halliwell said: "The Spice Girls musical is coming along nicely. The storyline is brilliant and of course it has fantastic music.
"Hopefully it will make everybody smile and relive the past, but feel good today about it. I think it's going to be out either at the end of 2012 or beginning of 2013."
The Spice Girls have previously hinted that they may reunite for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee later this year, but Victoria Beckham is allegedly against rejoining the band for the show.
