The band recently revealed that they have started working on their third studio set, which will serve as the follow-up to 2010's Surfing The Void.
However, they have now pulled out of their planned appearance at this year's Bilbao BBK Live in Spain and have ended negotiations to play other festivals in order to concentrate on writing the new material, reports eFestivals.
Bilbao BBK Live confirmed Klaxons as being taken off the bill, but added sets from The Kooks, Glasvegas and Warpaint.
Snow Patrol and Noah and the Whale were previously confirmed to play the three-day Spanish music event.
