Adele, Jessie J, Katy Perry scoop MTV Video Play awards

Adele and Jessie J are among the artists to be awarded double platinum video status from MTV.
Both acts scored double platinum MTV Video Play Awards after their respective efforts were aired over 20,000 times each across the network's global channels.

Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' and Jessie J's 'Price Tag' were the videos recognised by the awards, while six other artists also reached double platinum status.
Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night', LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem', Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger', Bruno Mars's 'Grenade' and 'The Lazy Song' and Jennifer Lopez's 'On The Floor' were the other visuals honoured.
David Guetta became the first artist ever to score four platinum videos, with 'Who's That Chick', 'Without You', 'Where Them Girls At' and 'Sweat' all surpassing 10,000 plays.
Bruce Gillmer, executive vice president music and talent/programming at Viacom, stated: "The MTV Video Play Awards are a perfect example of MTV's unrivalled scale, support and ability to connect artists to literally millions of fans in every corner of the world."
Further videos to be handed platinum MTV Video Play Awards included Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way', Britney Spears's 'Till The World Ends' and Rihanna's 'What's My Name'.
