Whitney Houston 1963-2012: 'I Will Always Love You' named best song

'I Will Always Love You' has been named the greatest ever Whitney Houston song.

Over 6,000 people voted in a Digital Spy poll launched to mark the tragic death of the singer last weekend at the age of 48.

Houston's cover of Dolly Parton's 1974 classic, which featured on the soundtrack of 1992's The Bodyguard, topped the survey with 22.9% of the vote.

In second place was 1987 single 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)' with 15.7%. In third was 'I Have Nothing' with 10.5%.

The full top ten was as follows:

1. I Will Always Love You - 22.9%
2. I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) - 15.7%
3. I Have Nothing - 10.5%
4. One Moment in Time - 10.4%
5. Greatest Love Of All - 4.6%
6. Saving All My Love For You - 4.1%
7. How Will I Know - 3.3%
8. My Love Is Your Love - 3.0%
9. It's Not Right But It's Okay - 3.0%
10. Million Dollar Bill - 2.5%
