Dizzee Rascal has described his new album as "worldly".

The rapper revealed that he got the urge to record new material again after spending a prolonged holiday in Los Angeles, where he started to meet people he wanted to work with.

Talking to BBC Newsbeat about his fifth studio album, Rascal explained the sound is "a bit more worldly, but still fun" and that he is in discussions to work with Calvin Harris again.

He added of his break from music: "[I've been] having a year off to just chill, have a year off and have fun, not have to worry about what it was what I needed to do. No pressure.

"I went to LA for a holiday but I started bumping into people, started getting into the studios and ended up staying out there for three weeks."

Rascal recently confessed that he wasn't pressured into recording more mainstream tracks and that he enjoys "making big pop records".
