The singer - who also performed twice at the ceremony - took to his Twitter page to challenge celebrities and members of the public who had expressed their disagreement with the decision.

Celebrities including Miranda Lambert, Eric Stonestreet, Sherri Shepherd and Jack Osbourne used the micro-blogging site to reveal that they thought Brown should have gone home empty handed after the annual ceremony.
Referring to his abusive relationship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, country singer Lambert wrote: "He beat on a girl...not cool that we act like that didn't happen."
However, Brown tweeted: "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY. Now! That's the ultimate F*** OFF."
After deleting the offending message, he later added: "I'm so OVER everyone's opinions.. Really!!!
"HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ladies... Let today be about u!!! Love you."
