The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has pulled out of a slate of Australian concerts.

Daltrey was to perform at the Byron Bay Bluesfest as well as several other shows in April, but has been forced to reschedule the shows.

The singer's tour organisers said in a statement: "Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, Chugg Entertainment and Bluesfest Touring today announced that Roger Daltrey's upcoming tour of Australia, including an appearance at Bluesfest on Monday 9th April, will regrettably be cancelled.

"Mr Daltrey is sorry to disappoint his fans and hopes to reschedule tour dates in the near future… We regret any disappointment that this news has caused."

No rescheduled dates have been announced yet.

Daltrey is still scheduled to begin a European tour in Italy on March 9. He will also perform five concerts in Japan in late April.
