Robbie Williams working with 'X Factor' Craig Colton on new songs

Robbie Williams is helping former X Factor contestant Craig Colton write new material.

The 'Rock DJ' star assisted judge Gary Barlow in selecting Colton for the live final stages of the competition last year and has continued to keep in contact ever since.



Speaking to The Sun, Colton revealed: "I send Robbie my lyrics and he tells me what he likes and what he doesn't like.

"One song - 'Beautiful Surprise' - he described as 'genius'. I couldn't ask for anyone better to help me. Hopefully I'll get to LA to see him in the summer."

Colton also confirmed that Barlow has booked him and fellow X Factor finalist Marcus Collins to perform at a Liverpool-based gig to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee later this year.

He added: "I love it - I'm so excited. It's the chance of a lifetime."

Colton first told Digital Spy about his plans to work with Williams last November, saying the former Take That star has "been really supportive".
