Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has revealed that he wants to record the band's next album in space.
The singer said that the idea is a big one, but insisted he would like to lay down new material to tape while travelling through space.

Grohl told MTV: "We have an idea. It's kind of a really big idea. [We're going to record it] in space. To tape. An analogue moonshot."
Meanwhile, the former Nirvana drummer also teased plans to release a soundtrack to accompany his forthcoming Sound City documentary.
He added: "We released a teaser trailer... there may be an album that accompanies [it]. I recorded a lot of songs with a lot of people in the past couple months.
"There used to be a recording studio called Sound City that was in the San Fernando Valley. Nirvana recorded there in 1991. It was this really beautiful dump in the middle of a warehouse district. A lot of great records were made there."
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have reportedly vowed to become the first artists to film a music video in space, apparently asking Sir Richard Branson if they can use one of his Virgin Galactic ships for the shoot.
