The Smashing Pumpkins have returned to the recording studio to begin work on their new album.
The band has a reformed line-up, which is to yet be revealed. The only known members are original frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlain.
Queen producer Roy Thomas Barker is working with the band on their first studio album since 2000.
