The Australian singer has found mainstream success in recent months by co-writing and featuring on 'Titanium' with David Guetta and 'Wild Ones' with Flo Rida.
Discussing her decision to avoid appearing in the videos for the tracks and promoting them, Sia admitted that she has no desire to be famous.
"I'm not touring or doing appearances or being in videos or doing interviews anymore," she said. "I like to be behind the scenes for now.
"I'll make music and put it out eventually, just without touring or promoting it. And I'll make bank writing pop songs for pop starz (sic)!"
She added: "Fame is the worst thing that can happen to a person. I choose not to appear in anything publicly. Twitter's it!"
Sia has released five studio albums and previously collaborated with the likes of Christina Aguilera and Zero 7.
She appeared on The Voice last year as an adviser to Aguilera.
'Titanium' was originally intended to feature vocals from Mary J Blige, but Guetta "fell in love" with Sia's version.
