Gotye, Emeli Sandé lead midweek chart

Gotye is on course to spend a second non-consecutive week at number one on the UK singles chart.

The Australian star's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' has pushed DJ Fresh's 'Hot Right Now' down to number three on the midweek chart, while Emeli Sandé's 'Next To Me' is sandwiched at two.

Flo Rida climbs a place to number four on the chart with 'Wild Ones' and David Guetta is at five with 'Titanium'.

Nicki Minaj shoots up to number seven with 'Starships', Gym Class Heroes is a new entry at eight with 'Ass Back Home' and Guetta's 'Turn Me On' is at nine.

One Direction's 'One Thing' falls to 18, Lil Wayne's 'Mirror' moves up to 20 and Cher Lloyd's 'Want U Back' is at 25.

Further down the chart, Adele's 'Someone Like You' re-enters at 33, while 'Rolling In The Deep' moves up four places to 35.

Over on the album chart, Emeli Sandé retains the top spot with her debut record Our Version Of Events.

Adele's 21 is at number two in its 57th week on sale, while Lana Del Rey falls to three with Born To Die.

Ed Sheeran's + and Gotye's Making Mirrors are at four and five respectively, while Band of Skulls are this week's highest new entry at six with Sweet Sour.
