Lady GaGa has slammed NME magazine for branding her music "pretentious".
The singer's second studio album Born This Way was named the most pretentious record ever in a recent blog post by the publication, leading the star to react to the title.

GaGa tweeted: "Oh the irony of winning "Most Pretentious Album Ever" from none other than NME. *eyeroll* I might laugh forever + then return to narcissism."
The star beat Lou Reed and Metallica's Lulu and Kiss's 1981 record Music From 'The Elder' to top the list, which named the top ten most pretentious albums ever.
Lady GaGa has been nominated for 'Villain Of The Year' and 'Worst Album' for Born This Way at next week's NME Awards.
