The Vaccines have revealed that they will begin recording their second album next week.

Frontman Justin Young told NME that he is "really excited" about the follow-up to last year's debut LP What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?.

"We can't wait," he gushed. "When you're in the studio, you just crave the road and getting out and playing shows.

"But we've been touring for the last 18 months so we really just want to get in and make a record."

Singer Young also revealed that the 'Post Break-Up Sex' punk band are hotly anticipating their upcoming collaboration with Kings of Leon producer Ethan Johns.

"We're really excited about the songs, we're really excited about working with Ethan. We want to get on with it now," the star added.

The band revealed last month that they would return to the studio in March.
