One Direction approached to make film about rise to fame

One Direction are in talks to star in their own movie.

The group have been approached to make a documentary-style film about their rise to international fame, much like Justin Bieber's Never Say Never.

Asked about a possible film deal, Styles is quoted by the Metro as saying: "We have had a few offers. We like the idea of a documentary-style one."

Previous reports have suggested that One Direction would star in a film co-funded by their label boss Simon Cowell, with James Corden's TV company in line to produce.

The five-piece are currently touring North America as the support act for Big Time Rush and recently claimed the highest first week US Hot 100 debut for a pop group since the Spice Girls.
