Speaking about her plans to promote her debut album Heaven in America, Ferguson told the Daily Star: "It's amazing what Brits are doing in the US.

"I will release my music there in May. I'm excited to go over there. I have quite a few trips to America planned because my label are really positive. I have a lot of interviews and events already sorted out."

Talking about Adele's success Stateside with her confessional second studio album 21, Ferguson added: "I love Adele's album. You listen and know she's telling the truth.

"She's had heartache. Her boyfriend wasn't nice to her too. She's not an untouchable artist. For me, that's what I want to be."

Ferguson recently signed a lucrative publishing deal with EMI and plans to write dance tracks for other artists in the near future.
