Noel Gallagher has revealed that he will be releasing a new B-sides compilation record next month.

The High Flying Birds frontman, who recently said that he would love to collaborate with Coldplay, has made a new EP called Songs from the Great White North which will be released on 12" vinyl to mark Record Store Day on April 21.

The compilation will feature three of Gallagher's recent B-side tracks 'The Good Rebel', 'Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me' and 'I'd Pick You Everytime', as well as his recent Amorphous Androgynous collaboration 'Shoot a Hole Into the Sun'.

Gallagher told NME that he is releasing the new EP to make a stand, saying: "Record shops are as important as the records themselves."

Arctic Monkeys, Frank Turner and Arcade Fire are among the other acts releasing one-off vinyls for Record Store Day.
