MOBO Awards revealed tonight

The 11th Annual MOBO Awards will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London tonight, with American singer Beyoncé in a prime position to dominate proceedings. The former Destiny's Child singer is in the running for four awards, including Best Song and Best International Female.
Criticised in the past for favouring US talent over home-grown acts, the main British female hope lies in 27-year-old Corinne Bailey Rae with three nominations - just six months after her debut album was launched. She is set to battle Alesha Dixon, Beverly Knight, Jamelia and Keisha White for Best UK Female - a new category for the MOBOs.
Rivalry is particularly fierce in this group, with Jamelia telling Rock FM last week: "I don't want Keisha White to win." This followed White's earlier comments that her competitor is "not a serious artist whose records you're going to pick up in five years time."
London-based hip-hop star Kano leads the male pack as he vies for three awards including Best UK Male and Best Video.
The awards, to be hosted by comedienne Gina Yashere, will be televised live on BBC Three and are designed to celebrate music of black origin.
