Beyoncé booed, Corinne commended at MOBOs
Beyoncé was the big winner at last night's MOBOs, but the crowds saved their cheers for homegrown talent such as Corinne Bailey-Rae and Lemar.

The no-show by the former Destiny's Child singer at the Royal Albert Hall led to booing from the crowd when she failed to pick up her three awards for Best International Female, Best Song and Best Video.

But jubilant Leeds singer Bailey-Rae was there to gather trophies for Best UK Female and Best UK Newcomer. Soul singer Lemar collected the Best UK Male award for the third successive year.

Other winning acts included Black Eyed Peas for Best Group and Ms Dynamite's younger brother Akala for Best Hip Hop.

The ceremony concluded with a set by soul legend Sam Moore, who had earlier been given a Lifetime Achievement Award.
