JLS star Oritsé Williams has revealed that he has written a song for Usher.

The boyband singer explained that he has pitched the song to Sony bosses for inclusion on the US star's next studio album, but has yet to find out if the track has made the final cut.

Williams told the Daily Record: "I write songs and try songwriting for other people as much as possible.

"I keep writing and writing. I pitched a song for Usher the other day and haven't heard anything back yet, but I wrote a song for Jedward - their last single 'Wow Oh Wow'."

He continued: "It wasn't widely known. I didn't initially write the song for them, but when they were looking for songs, I thought it would be perfect.

"Louis Walsh called me up and said, 'I heard you wrote this song. Can I use it for Jedward?' and I said, 'Why not? Go for it'."

Williams added: "I'd love to write with Ne-Yo, or Bruno Mars, and also Gary Barlow. One day, if there is an opportunity, I'll take it up."

JLS's new single 'Proud' - which is in aid of this year's Sport Relief - is available to download now.
