The glory days of punk will live again in a major new exhibition at the Barbican Centre.
The London venue is hosting Panic Attack: Art in the Punk Years to mark 30 years since 1977 - considered the year when the movement went from cult status to international phenomenon - next year.
As well as a range of other classic items from Britain's punk bands, the event, running from June to September, will feature clothes worn by the Clash and Sex Pistols on their album covers.
A Barbican spokesman said punk influenced a large part of society and culture, which would be reflected in the exhibition. He commented: "Punk is most closely associated with music, fashion and graphics, but it can also be seen as part of a much broader cultural episode.
"Panic Attack looks at British and American art of this time, much of which is informed by the same spirit of iconoclasm which characterises punk."
