The singer explained that he would write a special song for the occasion and would also like to cover David Bowie's 'Space Oddity' beyond the atmosphere.

Talking about the prospect of recording some material outside of Earth, Labrinth told Capital FM: "I love that - that sounds amazing.

"I would make a record, I would make a special record just for that. Or maybe do a cover of 'ground control to major Tom'. That would be insane."

The star recently confessed that he was booked in to work with The Wanted on a record, but had to delay plans due to their busy schedules.

Labrinth will release his debut album Electronic Earth in the UK on April 2.
