Scissor Sisters cut down competition

Their single 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin' has been in pole position for three weeks, but it was joined yesterday by their second album Ta-Dah, which dispatched Justin Timberlake's Futuresex/Lovesounds down to number three.
The New York pop group, whose eponymous debut album sold 2.5 million in the UK alone, successfully fended off a strong challenge from The Killers in the singles chart as their 'When You Were Young' climbed from five to two.
The Scissor Sisters are said to be launching a bid to conquer their homeland. Lead singer Jake Shears told Billboard Magazine: "American music fans are just as musically open-minded as their British counterparts... but the powers that be in the U.S. may not be as open-minded. Which, to a degree, will hold us back in the U.S."
Shears then added: "Tons of Americans would love our music, but they don't know we exist."
