Scotty McCreery has revealed that he will attend college in the fall.

Last year's American Idol winner intends to juggle touring and studying later this year, having spent most of his senior year of high school on the road.

"I'll be going to college in the fall," McCreery told People. "We're gonna work classes around [and] head out on the weekends on the road or something. We're gonna work it out."

McCreery explained that he has been accepted to four colleges, but has yet to decide on "the one".

"We're gonna figure it out and decide as a family," he added. "I grew up rooting for NC State, and that's where my dad went. But also there are schools in Nashville that have been really great - and that's Music City - so we'll see."

The singer recently recorded a cover of Tim McGraw's 'Please Remember Me' for this year's exit song for American Idol.

McCreery picked up the 'Best New Artist' prize at the American Country Awards in December and has toured with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry.
