Jarvis Cocker has revealed that he has been working on new Pulp songs.

The frontman explained that he had been thinking of a few new ideas for Pulp tracks, but is unsure what may happen with them.

"It took us long enough to relearn the old songs, so we'll have to see about that," he told Shortlist.

"But I've got ideas. I keep my little notebook, I've always got that with me. Hopefully there's more stuff than nonsense in there."

Cocker added that he was "super worried" about last year's reunion gigs, which included sets at Glastonbury and Reading.

"You may have spent your life doing something, but that doesn't necessarily mean anyone else is bothered," he said. "So it was nice that people were bothered when we decided to play some shows.

"And the fact that it wasn't all bald heads when we looked out was nice as well. Some reasonably young people came to see us."

Pulp played their first live gig of 2012 at London's Royal Albert Hall last week (March 31).

The singer hinted that the band will embark on a new UK tour earlier this week (April 2).
