The 'Starships' singer performed on the ABC morning show in August 2011 and apparently mistakenly bared part of her breast on live television.
Minaj addressed the controversial television appearance on ABC's Nightline this week, insisting that the partial nudity was not pre-planned.
"I'm so sorry about that… People are ridiculous if they think that I would use that as a stunt," the popstar told reporter Juju Chang.
She added: "I would never, ever do something like that on purpose. I swear to God."
Minaj also told Nightline that she is tired of being compared to Lady GaGa, who is also known for her controversial fashion sense.
"We are in completely different lanes," she explained, adding: "GaGa's a fantastic artist, you know, she paved her way. She's opened her own lane. But I think that I have my own lane, and we never cross. Ever."
